Thank god for extended warranty!

Hey everyone! I am new to the board and figured I would share my experience with my 4Runner today. Yesterday as I was driving to work my check engine light came on and both VSC lights. Luckily I had scheduled to have the diffs, transfer case, and trans serviced today. While it was in they checked out the warning light and found out that it was my air/fuel ratio causing the trouble. They also found that when they went to do my tire rotation that my front inner tie rod end was bad. Cost to me...............$0. Amazingly I had put my extended warranty to good use only 300 miles before it expired. Just in the nick of time. So I got a new front tie rod, air/fuel ratio sensor, labor, a rental car, and a free alignment since its required for tie rod end replacement all free! Thank you extended warranty! Loving the forum! Thanks! Yeah the extended warranty costed me something but I guess compared to the few times I have needed to use it definately paid for itself.

I was offered an extended warranty for over $1000 when I had 98k on my turck and now I've got almost 145k and the only thing the warranty would've fixed was my axle seals which cost only about $500 so for me it would've been a waste and most extended warranties are hit and miss on Toyotas.
