Just wanted to say a special thank you to those of you who already bought stickers since I posted the new announcement Friday night. I just dropped stickers in the mail to Georgia, Mississippi, Maryland, and Ohio. Thanks for helping to promote T4R.ORG!!!

Got mine today (West Virginia). I tried putting the first one on and peeling the clear piece off, only to realize that these arent the same as the set I bought a few years ago. I went back and reread the thread and noticed that you did state that fact in the thread in bright red. I ended up just throwing that side away, as it looked pretty bad with the clear plastic still present. Any idea where to get some of the older vinyl ones that dont have that ugly plastic? Why are the vinyl ones not being used anymore? They looked way better, and im pretty sure they were bigger, no?
 
from what i remember the newer style is easier to install, lasts longer, and is more cost effective.

correct me if im wrong Greg. oh, and im right about to order some sometime next week :D


edit: strike that, just ordered two in large and silver!
 
I appreciate the fast service, though. Just wondering if its possible to find better stickers that dont have the rectangular outline

Yes, the reason for the sticker change a couple years ago was for several reasons that you mentioned. My old sticker guy that originally made them for me over 5 years ago was giving me a sweet deal on the old individually cut vinly letter style stickers but he left the store a few years ago and the store manager would no longer honor the old price I was getting them for. The only way I could keep the price low was to go with the non vinyl cut style sticker. Second, the old style was extremely difficult to install correctly - you can still read the old installation instructions in my sticker purchase thread. A letter or two would be stubborn about coming off the front piece and once you goofed it was pretty much game over, you'd have to get another sticker. I was constantly getting PMs from folks who screwed up the installation. Finally, the stickers seemed to not last very long, again I was getting lots of PMs from folks saying that part of their R was peeling, or part of their T had come off, etc.

So to make a long story short I ditched the old style. It's true that IF installed correctly, the old style looked more professional - but they were just not worth the headaches IMO.

Hey subzero, please read my post above. Sorry about your trouble, I'll send you a replacement since you didn't realize the difference in installation. If you'd prefer I can send you a refund instead, just send me a PM letting me know. Stickers are the same size (maybe off by a few mm here or there).

edit: just got them today, and ill be putting them on when i get home from work/ when its dark and cooler outside

Stickers went out in today's mail to the Peoples Republik of NY, NY, NY, CA, CA, LA, and MA :D Well, I'm not too sure about Lousiana - I think they're still a red state?

Anyone have a picture of the way the new stickers look when they are on the window? I am assuming that the pics in the sticky thread are of the old decal version ...
 
got mine today! putting them on in a sec then gonna post a pic in the pics thread!


edit: These are okay, look fine from 6 feet away, but I would have rather paid a few bucks more to get the individual lettered decal over this sticker...

just my .02
