I have the opportunity to buy a 00 yrs supercharged limited with 200. Miles it runs great but if you floor it it falls on it face.owner has 2.1 pully on it and meth.it hit 15 lbs of boost I think it's to much if you just slowly role on it it will go to red line but not if you mash it.also it feels as the trans is sloping what do you think guys I really want it.

Are you ready to spend more money on it if need be? Sounds like it was ride hard and put away wet.

7000 it has a 4inch lift brand new 33" mt safari rack if it ran perfect I would have thrown the money at him.

I can if I need to but the engine runs peerfect just not if you floor it.the boost gauge was coming up to14/15 lbs as soon as you hit it and running like crap.but if you slowly took on it it doesn't do it.

Sounds like it can't handle the instant shock of air delivery it's getting.

7000 sounds pretty high for it. Esp with problems. Having a 2.0 pulley, That's high for not really having a good fuel system.

Has anyone bought the new Magnusson SC Package? I read back to page 79 of this thread & didn't see anyone. I saw it on ebay for $3499 & on the LCE website for $2,999.

Get it from LCE at that price. It's who made the TRD Supercharger. Same thing without TRD on it.


Or you could spend way too much $$ on the used ones on ebay. (don't do)

there's even a guy selling one currently who keep bidding on his own listing with another account to drive price up.

Anything over 2k I'd personally spend the extra $ for a brand new one.

I just put on the magnuson kit this past week.. it's beautiful and comes with everything you need except a new intake gasket... mine was OE with 280k on it so i replaced it... I will say I had a felpro to replace it... looked at it ... and went to the stealer for an OE gasket.


I suggest getting it from URD... but just my 2 cent... Gadget was awesome and shipped out same day.

Well I had only read good things about him... and this was my only experience, but with me he was super cool and the service was great. About 20 minutes after payment was done I had tracking info, and 3 days later I had my SC.

Also just to add for now I'll be leaving the OE pully as I've put a ton of money in this truck recently and I don't need to deal with the fuel headaches. It pulls beautifully and mashing it on a turn... hmmmm hehe...

As for spark I chose to go with : NGK Laser Platinum Spark Plug (BKR6EKPB-11) , expensive so I paired the purchase with some coupons... basically got them for 6 bucks a piece. at about 5500' and some hard pulls I haven't had any issues with knock.

I love the supercharger sound, I have the Injen intake which surprisingly actually sounds quiter now. The only thing that is a little annoying is that at certain throttle stages the wastegate seems to have a high pitch whistle...I'm sure i'll get over it though.

Does anybody know if Magnuson would sell a new nose cone for replacement? I have the TRD 4th gen SC. It keeps leaking oil from under the pulley even after rebuilding everything. I replaced the seal again and still leaks.

I finally got my boost gauge in and was wondering if you guys could confirm my numbers are normal. I'm at 4200 above sea level with the stock pulley I get on WOT about 5.5 and 6 psi. I reached these boost levels on separate days with outside temperature about 20 degrees difference. When warmed up at idle in park the vac is at just a hair over 19 in hg. Does that sound about right?

sounds high to me. im at 4,400 with the 2.2 and hit about 6-7 on my boost gauge and 5-6 on my 7th injector display. i ran it today.

How much does the ambient temperature play on boost? Does it affect it very much, say 20 degree difference? Anything I could do to verify that my auto meter boost gauge is reading correct?

Aftermarket U Joints and Axles

Any of you guys running aftermarket axles and U joints because of the SC? Once installed, I'm little concerned about throwing a U joint or busting an axle with the additional torque.

99 supercharger vacuum leak

Hello,

I have the P0171 code and have finally figured out that the supercharger has a vacuum leak.

The "L" section in front of the By-Pass Valve is loose. Before I take it apart, are there seals in there. Or how are they supposed to be sealed.
