This show it is working...just not enough. I think this shows real promise...be excited to see what the 5 gpm does for you.
Did you just order a 5 gpm nossel?? Or did you order several like an 7 and an 10 also? At least, I'm assuming they make bigger than 5gmp?? That way if the 5's not big enough you can just change and keep going without having to stop, order and wait again?
Either way...good luck Sir!! I'm pulling for you...

For now I ordered a 5gph nozzle. We will see what that does. I believe anything larger than 5 is too big. But I think others have run a 7gph nozzle.

By the way, have any of you installed an oil catch can since installing your SC?
I did, and wow, I can't believe the crap it's catching. It looks like light brown crappy oil. I decided to install a very "cheap" one from EBAY just to see what comes out of it and I am totally impressed. I have had it on for about two weeks and its about 1/4 full.
Any thoughts on catch cans to go along with your SC?

Sorry about that...you're probably correct. I'm still having a hard time not thinking Diesels!! On my D-max...I'm running two pumps, both of which are using #10's injectors from Coolingmist!! So, at first I was thinking one #10 couldn't be that big...but after reading your post, I believe you are correct Sir!!

Two questions for Russell:
So does the catch can plumbing just run from the crank case vent to the catch can, then air intake tube?
Also, is you meth kit the only thing you are using to "tune" your truck? Thanks

Catch can: Yes Sir, that is correct. Most catch cans have two connections..an inlet and an outlet. All you're doing is mounting the can in-line somewhere in it's PVC hose...which runs from the crank case vent (normally on the valve cover) to somewhere in the intake system. Thus, instead of allowing the oil in the vapors to enter your engine...you're now allowing the oil to collect in the catch-can, and sending the rest of the vapors on to the engine without harm.
Meth kit: No sir, it's not. On my truck, I don't use water/meth to "tune" my truck at all. I do use it to help cool my intake charge and cool my EGT's. I use a programmer called EFILive to tune the truck. We could only wish and hope for something like EFILive for our 4Runners!!

Catch cans are great, I've got one too.
Since replaced the cheapo hosing though, it collapsed under heat. After opening up my intake and seeing everything coated in oil, my mind was set. $30 and a bit of thinking on where to put it and I was done.

I run a Moroso Catch can - it's of a higher quality as it includes a 'steel wool' filter for the oil to coalesce on to. I pulled out some water and then a bunch of sludgy mess. Very happy with the results and I hope that it helps keep the intake clean - I'll be seafoaming it on my next oil change.

Guys i decided to pick up this 7th injector because it was pretty cheep and all together one kit where i didnt have to source parts for a water math kit. but dont worry i will probably do one in the future.
But here is a question for you guys. what about the other crank case hose on the other valve cover thats tied directly into the super charger next to the brake booster hose? do you guys have a catch can for that one?

How does the great state of CA look upon catch cans when you go in for smog test?

Not sure yet, but I'm not exactly worried. Most smog techs don't even do a good visual inspection in my experience. How are they to know what was stock and what wasn't? A catch can improves smog anyway since it keeps oil and other contaminates out of the intake air.
All else fails I just take it off before the smog check. Takes all of 5 min to remove.

Nice pickup of the 7th injector. You really can't go wrong with it, lot of good engineering in it and will definitely wake up your 4Runner. You don't need meth injection now since you can tune your 4Runner with the piggyback unit.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the other hose off the other valve cover is supposed to go to your intake upstream of the throttle body. This is pulling clean air into the crank case, where as the PCV valve blows oily air out of the crank case (and into your engine).

Will help the S/C 4Runner and the RS6. Lot of discussion on the water/meth on RS6.com since the intercoolers are hardly up to the task w/ stock boost on stock turbos.
I've been enjoying ripping around in the 4Runner lately though. Been checking my AFRs and while in boost I'm still hitting about a perfect 12.5.

i know you dont want oil in your motor because of carbon build up. BUT..... could it act like a 2 stroke and lubricate the supercharger?

It looks like a good set up. What brand catch can is yours? Mine is simply a cheap $13 one from ebay. I want to see how it holds up, then get a better one.
