Not sure if I'll use three, but figured I might as well.

Do we have a post containing companies that will rebuild the 1st gen TRD supercharger currently?

If your in Denver their is a small shop up in Conifer called Colorado Toyota Specialists. They will rebuild them from time to time. They don't recoat the rotors, but they will replace bearings and such. Or you can send it to jon bond performance.

Why don't all of you first join guys just send yours to Magnuson LOL? They rebuild it for like six hundred bucks and that's OE rebuilt. The other option would be stiegmier porting services, I know they do the 4th gen blowers they would be able to do a 3rd gen eaton I'm sure.

I sent my 2nd gen SC to manguson to get rebuilt. I want to say it was more than $600 for the rebuild, but the turn-a-round time was pretty reasonable and If I recall correctly they give you a 12,000 mile warranty on the work.

I changed my timing belt, water pump, sparkplugs, valve cover gaskets and did a bunch of other maintenance while the SC was off. If you have questions you can always call them 805.642.8833.

I spoke with Tim at Magnuson, and he told me they do NOT rebuild the 1st gen SCers anymore because parts are discontinued for them.

He told me it's $170 just for them to disassemble it, and it most likely will be turned to scrap.

He was very pessimistic on it. I've got a tear drop leak coming from the rear of my pulley.

Interesting news, they must be focusing on the production of the 4th gen eaton blowers now.

That's crazy they told u that. The superchargers are still made. Like I said try Colorado Toyota Specialists, if their not too busy they will do it. It's not hard really, you just need a press and a few special tools.

No they aren't. He has a 3rd gen eaton... The ones they are making are 4gens.

Oh I didn't know he had an older one. Still parts are not hard to get, as long as the shafts and gears are OK.

You can get parts from rollingperformance.Com.

Probably need a nose cone seal. If its grinding, rotor bearings. If you have to do rotor pack bearings (different than the rotor bearings) you will probably want someone who knows what they are doing to install them.

If you want a simple troubleshoot, take off the oil dipstick (one 10mm bolt) and release the tensioner so you can take the belt off. Clean off all the pulleys with rubbing alchohol and also wipe down the belt on both sides. Put it back together and see if it clears up.

That's what I did when mine slipped because oil had got on the belt and pulley and was slipping.

Quick update: It was my crankshaft sensor that was an issue. Went ahead and replaced it. OEM p/n 90919 05020. It's a bit pricy but don't pay less and go with aftermarket from local autoshop. Stuff from autozone didn't work for me. Thanks again for your input.

So got my supercharger installed (Gen III/Gen I/Grey) and the elbow on the back is leaking. Anyone have a part number for the o-ring or a way to make it not leak? I am running about 12.4 AFR at WOT and throwing a P0171 code occasionally. Thanks

I sealed mine up with some Permatex The Right Stuff, no leaks since.

That would make a lot of sense. All of a sudden I've seen a half dozen of the grey superchargers on the market, some as little as $700, up to $1400 for ones not needing a rebuild.

So i need to get some tuning done. I have a way to record my afrs but not a way to record my timming advance. I have a ultraguage but that does not recored to a computer. What type of tool ia best for this that is not $300 plus? Can a scan guage record to a computer?

I recommend a Innovate lm2. That'sq they best way I've found to do what your looking to do.
