Can't even do that, short block assembly only. Heads, cams, lash adjusters, valves, vvti gears, timing chains, tensioners, acuators etc are all a la carte.
The new engines get ugly when they go wrong, but they rarely do, which is why there is no reason to have a crate motor program.
True, but then it is at least logged, and there is a record of the issue. Plus for the dealership, they are tracked on these types of issues and customer service. If they are slacking on these types of issues it affects the vehicles they are allotted and all types of things. On the surveys you get, if they get anything less than 100% it's a fail.
I wouldn't drive a car some dealership too dumb to do an oil change visually inspected for damage and fixed "accordingly" further than I'd be willing to walk.
I'd get a lawyer/go into arbitration and make them buy the damn thing from me... they've essentially lemoned your vehicle.

I'll text you tomorrow. I'm not going to publicly shame them unless they try to screw me over and not make it right.
What is "the distance my 2015 TRD Pro will travel after the dealership forgets to put oil back in after its second oil change," Alex.
So this is the BS I've been dealing with today. I've been offered a new engine replacement and I wanted to get your input on the situation. Any advice or commiseration is appreciated.
I would drag their name through the mud as much as possible. Get the info out there through every avenue possible. That is so insanely ridiculous for such a highly regarded company to do something so stupid. Like Philsey said speak to a lawyer. No way I would trust them to rebuild an engine. I'd trust one of you guys more than these a**wipes.
You don't want to do that right off the bat, you'll just piss them off if you go in with guns blazing and a scorched earth mentality. Then they'll just try to get rid of you a quickly and cheaply as possible because they'll think you're some unreasonable a-hole. Be reasonable and firm at first and see what they offer. If it's not good enough, insist on more. Right now, at a minimum they need to be putting you in a free loaner and then you all can figure out what needs to be done. Only if they start screwing with you should you start publicly shaming them, etc.
He called the shit poop!
