The Blizzard is arriving...

It has been a long month and a half since I first put my name on 2015 4Runner Limited Blizzard Pearl on Redwood. Confirmed train arrival to the rail yard guarantees it will be a restless couple nights until Monday, Nov 10. There is also 10+ inches of snow forecasted for Monday - Tuesday. Words like excited do not begin to describe feelings right now.

I am reserving this space for all sorts of photos and a modification list.

As many of you already know I work for Walser Toyota of Bloomington, MN. I love to the Toyota brand and look forward to contributing to this community and learning from everyone here! Feel free to PM me if you want to know where

I located mine again tonight and said dealer arrival 11/9/2014 so i had to confirm and I just missed the carrier. Boom its here!

:biggrin1: Hi DjSam'

There's only one way to describe you this evening... 'EXCITED'! :jump: lol! I remember the feeling when I ordered my 2012 Blizzard Pearl 'Limited' almost three yrs ago this coming April. i ordered it on Wed night, Apr 18'th, and it arrived on Sat Morning, Apr 21'st! God bless you bro!

rigtec, cheers!

I get to unwrap the whole thing today like a big Christmas present all the while MN is getting 10-12 inches of fresh for our first snow storm. Couldn't get much better

yeah im not happy at all, the dam storm missed me by at least 100 miles south of us.

itching to use this new snow blower and for snow fun.

I picked my up my silver Trail Premium with KDSS on Thursday. It was the day before my birthday. Getting this second birthday gift is a nice treat... :)

LOVE the 3rd gens. The 99 Highlander is still on my 'trucket' list...

I had an '02 SR5, and I still regret letting her go to some rambunctious lady driver. I saw it on the roads about 6 months ago, and I felt like it was crying out for me to help it... It made me feel crazy guilty...

You'll really like how the Limited's full-time 4-WD works in the slippery stuff... all during last winter's onslaught, I only felt the need to use the center-diff lock once - and it was mostly just to play with it a little. Otherwise, I just left it in the open center-diff mode, and relied on the 'normal' traction control (hope I'm getting that right) to keep things moving - which it did quite nicely even with the stock Yokohama's. The narrow 20's are goofy looking, but seem to work well in the snow and slick conditions.

Drive safe out there!! Congrats!!!

The takeaways from today include:
-the "the blizzard" for MN didn't hit as hard in areas as they said it would be. Enter rain/sleet /ice mess

-the blizzard pearl T4R that showed up last night is absolutely perfect. Down to the stock Yokohamas and 1 mile on the clock from plant to dealership the build quality is fantastic!

Busy day so i didn't get a chance to even bring it in for the PDI process. It did hit the gas station for a full tank of 92 and now sits like a popsicle at the dealership.

Much more to come.

we got our first decent dusting yesterday, I promptly stay home to let everyone get first snow idiot syndrome out of their systems.

Took delivery today! Been a long busy week as Toyotathon starts. Got the running boards and WeatherTech mats installed.

Took some HD video of the interior before it went through the PDI or Pre Delivery Inspection. Everything is very orderly from the factory and all the Port accessories were installed with care. Threw away the front plate bracket asap as MN is not requiring a front plate for 2015.

I just moved to Minneapolis and can not find any data to back up that 2015 won't require a front plate (maybe google is being dense tonight). Can you share were you got your info? I was planning to run without it unless it becomes and issue with local LEO. Great news if thats the case!

Do the weather tech mats fit as well as advertised on the 2015? Do you have a recommended place to buy them?

They fit very nice in the 2015. I would either buy direct from Weathertech or support your local Toyota dealership. Our dealership stocks em!

Viper Smart installed yesterday. Screw 2 way I'm global remote start with GPS location ability!
