dropped off my URD y pipe over to Advance Thermal Products to have them wrap my y pipe in inconel heat shield... Cant wait to pick it up and install it ...
Will do a dyno run next week possibly tuesday and do install on the y pipe right after and do a dyno run again right before xmas ...
if you dont know what inconel heat shields are ... this is what they look like

picked up my URD Y pipe from www.ATPWrap.com today ...

For 2014 to 2016 You don't need to extend the steering shaft for a 1" BL ... I might revisit this mod down the road when I get my bumpers put on...
now if you have a 2010 to 2013 SR5 or Limited your good to go; up to 2". You can use the steering shaft extension that is usually supplied in the body lift kit.

So I finally got around to dyno the 4runner w/ the shorten and hi tucked exhaust with the 12586 magnaflow muffler and the big wheels and tires...
sad and heart broken day ...
This is my base line for my y pipe install...
I lost 20whp & 20ftlb of torque due to the bigger tires.. He originally made 224.6whp and 255.5ftlb of torque w/ just intake and stock wheels
Now with the bigger tires and wider wheels ... he only made 204whp and 236ftlb of toque...

ended up at my friend Jacky's shop K1 Motorsport ... to install the y pipe and hopefully find some power...
I love staring and how the stance is on this rig... only wish we could lift it another 3 to 4"

I don't know if I'm the only one but I kind of like that the 4runner isn't that loud. Maybe because I came from a catless subaru.

Also, how are you going to pass inspection in CA with this thing?

I like the 12586 muffler ... really quiets it down alot compared to the flowmaster I had originally

I dont have to smog my rig till 2020 ...
in Komifornia our first smog test is after the 1st 6years of the vehicle.

Yeah, I wasn't sure what the rules are there. I (thankfully) live in the only major urbanized county in Texas that has not fallen into EPA non compliance and therefore, we don't have smog tests. I'm sure that's gonna change eventually though. I still think they look at our exhaust to make sure we have cats during our yearly inspection. I guess California's different?

Thanks for the updates! Can you do a quick summary post? Like started at X HP and torque stock. Added Y component and got Z HP and torque. I will be glad to permalink that post to one of the stickies. Thanks again!

Which Flowmaster were you running before? I'm running a 70 series at the moment.
