The factory springs are settled! I only got an 1.5" lift in the front with the daystar 2.5/1.5, so its coming out!:dancin: I ordered OME 884/895 springs with the Toytec top plate, and while I`m in there a set of Light Racing UCA`s are getting put in with an Overland Warehouse rear brake line relocation bracket for a little peace of mind!

will they let you return them? i am thinking about the 2.5/2 kit for my 04. how long did you have them in for?

I got the lift new from another member, Falls! I'm giving it back to him! Installed the lift mid October 09. The fact that I didn't get the full lift has nothing to do with the daystar kit, but the fact that the factory spring just settled that much in the front! The truck had 50,000 mi when the lift went in.

If it wasn't for the springs settling and not getting the full 2.5" lift I would probly be leaving the daystar kit in! The truck rides real nice and smooth not stiff at all! I did get the full 1.5" in the rear though!

Just keep in mind you might not get the full lift your suposed to with spacers. It all depends on your springs and how much they have settled. I think that's why everyone seems to get different measurements!

You had the topout/preload kit right (daystar 2.5/1.5 6 piece lift)? I'm glad to see it didn't change the ride for you if that's the case even with preload.

Yeah, it's the 6 piece lift! I also installed the pro comp extended shocks and struts when the daystar kit was put in.

I'll post up some pics when the OME springs and LR UCA's go in! I'm keeping the pro comp shocks and struts!

I installed the OME springs and LR UCA`s today! It took 4 hours to install everything.

For those interested, the ride is very smooth and controlled! It seems like there is less body roll in turns and No nose dive during fast stops. The ride is stiffer than with the daystar, but is not harsh or teeth rattling its still comfortable for a daily driver. IMHO the Pro comp es9000 shcoks and es6000 struts do a very good job at controling the OME springs.

The Pro comp es6000 fj struts spec out on paper the same as the OME n140s struts, we`ll see how the Pro comps hold up!

Very nice looking lift dreadog, and thanks for the input on the riding characteristics. I was particuarly interested in your report that body roll was limited. I have the XRES, and want to make sure to get a lift that keeps cornering at least equal if the XRES has to come out.

Do you think the UCA's played a role in the improvment of your handling?

I honestly couldn`t say for sure how much the UCA`s changed the ride!
I know they are stronger than OEM, the ball joint has a 90 deg range of motion instead of the factory 77 deg, more clearance for suspension and tires and with the adjustment in the UCA`s I`m able to dial in to the factory alignment specs. That would be the only way I could see them improving ride quality!

I`ve read with a 3/2 lift you tend to max out the OEM adjustments, with the lr uca`s there is more than enough adj to put it back to spec. That was my main reason for getting them.
