fftopic:Reading this post wore me out.
I don't have anything to do with Shockworks but it looks as if they are trying to make thing right with all of you. They've given you guys a group discount that they didn't have to do! I'm a business owner and if I'm late on a project because of my suppliers then it is really out of my hands. All I can do is do a great job for my customers and keep them posted. It looks as if they gave you a deadline and if it isn't met then they would give you an additional discount. I'm sure that's one of the main reasons why you placed your order. They are in business to make money and if they have to discount your order for being late, then its money out of their pocket. Kudos for Shockworks for keeping records of the phone calls with the notes.

Quick Update:
All but four orders have shipped:
- One set of 5th gen sliders is going to be about a week late. We forgot to note customer changed the PC color and had to re-do it.
- Two 3rd gen front's, still have about 4 weeks left on the 12 weeks.
- One very custom 4th gen front that we agreed to do w/o the 12 week guarantee.
So as of now, with 22 products shipped:
- One order was 3 days late
- One set of 5th gens is going to be about a week late from PC mixup.
- The rest were on time or early!

I'm guessing that mine are the ones that haven't shipped b/c of the PC change. It's cool though, I think I changed the order twice. I can never make up my mind about anything.

Sliders are on, and ready to wheel...
Only problem was FedEx delivering to the wrong address and having to carry the package back to my house.

Super easy, if you have two people like I did. I think the longest part of the install was trimming the skirts. I would say in total about 3 hours.

I ordered my 5th gen sliders on 12/27 and got them on Monday. I tracked the order to "delivered" and then jammed home to put them on. I cracked the box and realized - NO mounting hardware!! :gun5:
I called and spoke to Jim and another gentleman and they shipped me - overnight - the hardware. Yes, it sucked badly to be as anxious as I was to install them and not everything be in the box, but hey $hit happens - life goes on. They were very apologetic, and helpful.
I got around to installing them last night on my SR5 and they bolted right up, look really well built, and oh yeah they look great! I did the 3 support rail/flat textured. Can't wait to get them dirty.
I'm really looking fwd to the front bumper release and if I'm happy w/ the design I will for sure consider it.

I got home from a day trip to NYC last evening and the sliders were waiting at the door. No shipping notification but who cares! Now to carve out time to get them on.
I previously owned a first year Xterra. Shrockworks were one of the first to come out with accessories for the X and I always wanted sliders. Their product is always highly rated but any body you reads the internet knows you will wait awhile to get them. I never got around to getting anything for the X but with the new 4runner I needed something. I went into the group buy knowing it would be awhile to get the product but figured it would be worth the wait. I was very pleased with the delivery time and the final result It looks like Shrockworks is finally getting the equipment set up to do more on their own instead of waiting for the outside vendors.
In short, Shrockworks makes a great product, everyone I know that has their stuff loves it. It isn't the cheapest and you may wait along to get it but there is a reason they are so busy, it's a great product. I think this group buy sucess shows that they are starting to get a handle on their growth. Hopefully they will continue to be able to develop more products (hint - 5th Gen bumper!) and still service their current lines.
