lookin to add a few mods to my TE... new tires, rock sliders and eventually suuspension upgrade.

tires... lookin at firestone destination A/T since i have had them on my tacoma and am pleased with them. want to keep OE size as they are only 1lb heavier than the stock tires.

sliders... like budbuilt or shrockworks.

suspension... here's where i need ya guys to chime in. since i am gonna stick with stock size i don't want much lift as it would look funny. want to add icon coilovers and rears but am thinking the rears would be a little to much with the 2" they add. has anyone added a basic icon setup with stock size tires? post pics if ya can.

You can adjust the front ICON CO's so you could crank them all the way down. As far as the back goes, I haven't heard of anyone keeping it stock with lift in the front or doing any kind of hybrid lift. Random idea here, I only know about suspensions from what I have read online, I have no real experience (yet!) but maybe you could replace the rear shocks and still use the stock springs and just upgrade the springs with the 2" ICON lift springs when you want some more height? I have no clue if this would work though, the shocks might be the wrong length without the lift springs. Someone else should know though.

I recall seeing someone on the lifted thread with a BP LTD that had an ICON stage 1 and stock tires and it looked fairly stock cranked down. I will see if I can find that pic. That thread is a PITA to search though. I'll edit this post with the pic if I find it. I'm goin in!

THis is EXACTLY what I am thinking about doing! I want to retain the milage I am getting now yet make it a little more capable.

I have had great luck with Bridgestone Revo's and the Cooper A3's. In fact, I have almost 40,000 miles on a set of the AT3's on my dodge diesel and they have been fantastic

Cant wait to see which direction you end up going with lift and tires. I am still probably 3 months away from doing that

The 5100s are adjustable, the stock are not. Or you can simply get the icon coilovers and that would give you more options down the road. You definitely don't want the full icon lift if you want stock size tires. It'll look dinky. I ran mine like that for a couple of months.
