The infamous dash crack

how many of you have the dash crack to the right of the inclometer. Has anyone ever tried to repair this. I was thinking of putting some kind of filler in it and painting the pad. Has anyone ever tried this?

I don't know what an inclometer is, but we have a crack in our dash, right of centre. We have a grey dash, so i figured maybe some grey silicone caulk would work?

There's a thread on Yotatech right now from a guy that redid his dash in fiberglass, it look pretty easy.
