The lift I want doesn't exist...would you buy it?

Sounds like there might actually be some interest. Eibach said it should be a pretty easy job for them since they have the dimensions for the Toytec/Wheelers springs they make.

So...1" over front and rear and 10-15% spring increase seems to be the consensus.

Again...I would love a set of rear springs at 1"...I vote to move this over to the group buy section and list it as a Feeler....Start a List and you're in business. I vote for black color.

That was three years ago and as far as I know he was the only one from then to now to do this.

Also you are a bit misinformed if you think lifting is going to give you any relief on tire fitment. It won't.

Believe it or not, I ordered a set of custom rear coils from Deaver to achieve a 1" total lift with a +15% spring rate about 2 months ago and am having them installed today. I'm going with Bilstein 6112's in the front set at the 3rd clip and 5160's in the rear. Hope to get 2" up front and 1" in the back for a moderate lift/level. I'll post pictures once it's done.

Nice! That's exactly what I am looking to do!

I have a similar question for my sr5-All I have done is put 275/70/17 s on it and would like to do a little more to the suspension but not a big lift(1-2"max). I would like to place a southern slim line bumper with winch and some sliders. So will the above set up work or do I need something different?

Just picked up my 4Runner from the shop. Unfortunately, I didn't take any measurements or pictures beforehand, but I'll try to answer whatever questions I can. Here's the set up:

Tires: 275 BFG KO2's
Front: Bilstein 6112 set on 3rd clip
Rear: Bilstein 5160 with custom Deaver coils that are 0.75" taller (will result in ~1.0" of lift) & 15% stiffer than stock

Like I said, I didn't measure, but I think I got 2" in the front and 1" in the rear. Definitely accomplishes the moderate lift/level I was going for. It looks close enough to stock that it won't catch the attention of 'commoners' but is still lifted enough where there should be marked improvements in off-road performance. With the lift, there's a quiet aggressiveness about it that I like. While not being able to quite put your finger on it, it causes you to look at it to try and figure out what makes it different from all the other stock 4Runners on the road. It now rides like a dream too - soaks up bumps like crazy and no longer nose dives when breaking. I couldn't have wished for a better result.

I also got the shop to throw Airlift airbags in the rear, but since they have minimal pressure in them, they shouldn't have any impact.

Perfect setup for the "weekend adventurer". Love it!

This is exactly what I was looking for...Do you notice any difference in body roll? Who did you talk to at deaver? last question is if I do not have kdss do I use the same bilsteins?
Thanks again

I haven't really had any issues with body roll with the stock suspension, so I'm not sure I can answer that. It's inherently a stiffer set up, so I would say that there's likely improvement.

I originally contacted Deaver through their generic 'Contact Us' web form. All my contact after that was with Scott Born. PM me if you want his contact info.

Yes, those Bilsteins can still be used for non-KDSS 4Runners. The install will be much easier on non-KDSS trucks if you want to do it yourself (I did not).

For any of your regular passengers, have they made any comments about a difference in ride quality after the suspension changes? Do you have any other observations after driving on this setup for the last couple weeks?

FWIW - you could try using OEM coils from a Prado 150 or 120 - or GX460/GX470.

I pulled the following from a Prado 150 site, so take it for what it's worth, but it appears that gx460 rear coils might give you exactly what you're looking for.

Rear Coil Free length Spring rate (Notes)
mm (N/mm)lb/in
Standard Prado 120 380 205 (Dobinsons data)
Standard Prado 150 375 212 (Measured/Dobinsons data)
Standard FJ Cruiser 385 190
