Cold Air Intake and Deck Plate are two different mods. A deck plate is $10, and cold air intake is a waste of money.

Do you off road it a lot? If so, go with the sliders. I would stay away from the sport hood, they don't look right on non-sport 4R's unless you do it all. (bumpers).

If you plan to offroad it I would be careful with a CAI. I was running the K&N CAI and after a few runs i happened to look into the intake tube while i was cleaning the filter and found that there was a nice coating of dust.
If you plan to wheel it sliders are a good idea to protect your rocker panels, i have a few small dents in mine that would have been avoided.

I vote sliders or hood. Sliders if you plan on going off road and for the added step up to your roof rack. Hood because I see that your current one is fading, so a nice clean new hood would feel real good. w

I'd say Deckplate Mod. It's the cheapest mod that I've done to my 4Runner yet. Sounds pretty good too.

I think he's saying to either match the hood to the rest of the body or match the body to the hood by beating it up a bit more with the protection of sliders.

I meant or but but a + for some reason. lol but i dont, i just like the look of them. Thats the one thing i dont like about the newer style bumpers it makes them look like they have a bad under bite or something. I plan on ordering stuff for the deck plate today.

Red and black is a classic look for anything.

But I really like your current look. I say run those for awhile until you get tired if them. I think the graphite color wheels + your red would look better than black.
