Are you still using the factory mounting location? I hate to fanboy out on you, but I wonder if the Icon 56505 would work for you? At $168 each they fit the price point. [MENTION=120150]TotalAutomotiveLV[/MENTION] could likely get them to you for an even better price. They could also valve them however you want before you get them.

I am trying to think of a 2.5" smooth body shock for under $500 and I cannot. Maybe the SAW for a 4th gen like [MENTION=34852]crazydubman[/MENTION] runs? I'm not sure how much they are.

Going Icon would also keep your valving digressive front and rear.

They are 2.0's not 2.5's. That is my only complaint and that really isn't one. They ride great and handle excessive haul weight well coupled with the OME 861's.

I asked SwayAway if they would do a stud top mount 2.5 and unfortunately they do not have that cap available. If you were to switch to an eyelet mount, you can utilize a 2.5.

Like I said, love the suspension but I do need to look at getting the rear swaybar back on or a comparable currie antirock. Too much roll in the corners for most. :lookout:

To convince your wife, pull off a Bilstein and have her compress it with her index finger. Now tell her that's what's keeping you guys on the road. Now take it and break it in half over your thigh.

The adjustability moves that shock to the next level. While I (Chas) personally think that the ICON is a slightly higher quality shock, the CD adjuster of the Fox will improve the performance and allow you to dial in the perfect ride.

My good buddy is running Tundra 2.5 with adjusters on his Tacoma with 3.5" of rear lift and we dial them to 1 Low speed and 2 high speed on the street, it rides like butter. When its offroad or loaded up we increase the dampening with the knobs.

I really like the knobs, I think they are beneficial. The Fox 2.5 fronts also feature a dual speed control (dual knobs) over the ICON CDCV which is one speed control.

So I got a few updates today, got my interm shocks in, the fox 2.0s they are way better than the bilsteins, and I can already tell the difference, that combined with the fact that Friday I swapped out the rear adjustable panhard bar for my stock or one, and this thing drives like a dream(comparatively)... the adjustable panhard was fine, just very harsh and really I had no need for it as I have a drop bracket already so that was kinda redundant... also I got my trasharoo in the mail today along with my new UHF/VHF radio. So now I need to install that and get it programmed and I'll be g2g. I'll get some pics later of the other things, but for now I just have pics of the Fox shocks.

Installed my new volt meter gauge where my old accessory 12v outlet used to be.

I also added a dual 2.1 USB outlet where the stock 12v cigarette lighter was, I don't smoke, and all I used my accessory 12v outlet for was a putting a dual USB outlet in it, so I just converted this to that and made it constant hot. It's much cleaner looking this way and out of the way too.

I also picked up this little guy that I'm going install in the back to give a nice power supply in the back for camping or work ect. I like that this has a master kill switch built into it.

The new trasharoo...

And of course you can't be without a bottle opener...

I picked up a warn wireless winch control off Craigslist locally brand new for less than half cost, works great.

I also updated/upgraded the dash cam to the same one I have in the GX. I have been very happy with its performance and quality so I got another one for the runner. It's only down side is that it only records about 6hrs of footage before it starts to record over the oldest files and loop back over, and it can only support a 32g card max... so I just bought two extra cards so that if something happens I can swap cards and prevent the data from being lost on long trips (learned my lesson the hard way with the Lexus over memorial day weekend...

Added another switch block to the back cargo area...

I also did axle seals today, will be doing bearings in a couple weeks cause there is a lot of play in them, and I didn't have a press today so yeah, but seals are cheap enough to replace again in a couple weeks lol.

For the last 3 ½ weeks I have been working up on the Canadian border on some cell towers, here are some pics from the trip

so on the way up there i blew out my blower motor resistor and my heater relay, thus that cut power to my electric fans(thats how i had them wired to trip the fan relays...) so i severely overheated climbing the last pass/grade coming into Republic Wa -i was able to cut some wiring for some of my lights(see they are useful for other things too lol) and just direct wire the fans to the batter to limp me into town to the NAPA store so i could purchase the stuff to rewire them to a more permanent configuration. im sure it also didnt help that i was towing close to 2500lbs of tools and equipment in my trailer as well. thats another story as it damaged my rear bumper, -id suggest not towing with a non tow hitch... aftermarket bumper with 2" receivers are not adequate. i now have close to a 1/2 sag gap on my CBI at the back of the truck and i can visually see the bend in the mounting brackets.
on a side note, my new FOX shocks i got did seriously improve the ride and control of the vehicle, that along with ditching the adjustable panhard bar and going back to the stock bar really tightened up the rear end and made vehicle control much more manageable -yes its still a lifted truck with big tires so there will be body roll and transient response delays but they are very minimal in comparison to blown shocks and sloppy joints... i cant wait to get the remote resi fox shocks from [MENTION=120150]TotalAutomotiveLV[/MENTION] along with the roost shields. i think my next big purchase will be a set of fox RR coilovers for the front. the feel is so different and very harsh compaired to the rear, the rear feel much more planted and sure footed than the front. ive never had an issue with the front jumping around or being squirrely but i didnt realize how much smoother it could be. and now it needs to be!
the 23zero tent was amazing, but i quickly learned i need to put this on the trailer, as setting it up and taking it down every time i needed to use the truck for the winch, or go into town ect was a real pain in the ass and would take about 30 min+ in actuall time to take down or set up(everything including) i often times opted to just not even bother. also after about the 2nd week i was done sleeping in the tent lol i wanted a real bed. so who knows maybe ill be buying a full size diesel and pulling a 25' travel trailer in a couple years. the tent is awesome for camping and exploring ect but living out of is not ideal -dont get me wrong it did great and im glad i have it and its worth the money for them. i just didnt think about how much id miss a bed. -the last night after we got off the mountain i was tired and tired of the tent so i just went into town and got a hotel room -nice hot shower, did laundry and layed on a nice real bed with the dog.
