Now that the spring semester is coming to an end I'm looking for a second part-time job to earn some extra cash. I was thinking of getting these TRD sport decals on my truck but I'm not to sure. I also saw a truck that looked just like mine but it was a 03-05 model. My friends and I also took the time to FULLY detail our rides. I also tried the Turtle liquid clay bar. I was impressed just shake apply to this foam pad and wipe it on the car. it shines like a jewel!

Alright I got a new K&N air intake from amazon for $220 shipped! I definitely jumped at that! overall the installation was ok. If you can change your own air filter you can install one of these. Driving with it was very different from factory at a noise level if you go about a little less than half throttle to full WOT. It sounds AWESOME!! it depends on the level of load on the engine does the sound increase. Performance, its there but it's at the high end like around 3500-redline. I do need a new tune to update my MAF calibrator and for that I need a A/F gauge so thats next on the list.

Today I got a AEM (Advance Engine Management) dryflow filter for my K&N air intake. I really wanted a S&B filter or a AMSOIL but hey the price was right, FREE! It was really easy to put on it was the same size so I just swamped out the K&N for the AEM. The K&N looked ok it did have a bug or two in the cotton mesh. I will do some tests this week on my way to work, school, home, etc. One thing to point out however is that the AEM is NOT AN OIL BASED filter. This means it's not supposed to mess up the MAF sensor like K&N filters have or do, I haven't encountered that problem so far. But I will see overtime.

good stuff man.. got questions on the AEM filter you used as replacement for your K&N. What made you decide to get that? i mean besides the fact that its a dry filter. Hows the fitment since the inlet diameter on our K&N is different than the AEM's.. how do you like it? we have the same intake by the way

Thanks for the nice words! Anyway one of the main reasons I got it was that it was FREE! my buddie has an evo 10 and had an extra filter (that was to big). second reason was that it was a dryflow and I wanted to try something different and perhaps test/experiment. It fits good granted the AEM is shorter but from what I feel (seat of your pants) it made a very very small difference. So far I am very pleased with it and I'd say give it a try. If not try out S&B or AMSoil air filters. I was gonna get that but me and my friends thought that this was a good choice. They have more experience with AEM than myself and I trust them.

Good news! I'm getting a good bit of my to do list done on my truck. First off sometime this week I'm getting my URD fuel pump to solve my fuel starvation and filter issues. I post a write up as soon as I get it and put it on. Then next week on the 27th I'm finally getting my APR X1!! I can't wait to see what it can do. The last thing is putting my bilsteins shocks on. This is about all I can do until maybe a month or two after the fall semester starts.

Look what the fedex guy dropped off! My fuel pump! Lets hope this solves my fueling problems. Good news is that I can now change my fuel filter!

APR is on and I have to say IT IS WORTH EVERY CENT!!! Not only is the truck more powerful and faster, it seems to make the truck just more driver friendly in terms of driver input. The man who runs the show couldn't have been any more nicer and helpful. He gave me a quick tour and all I have to say is Thanks!

This is how my truck looks like now. I bought brand new Toyota sport edition headlights and I think they look badass. I already have a few more parts to add to the body to make it look how I want. I've also gotten a few more mods to the engine but I haven't installed them yet.

Nice man, much respect for your 4runner enthusiasm! Sounds like you got a great life ahead of ya, engineer - straight outta high school hell yeah. [Edit] but I make my own way and I can't complain! Lift that sucker! throw an OME kit on there with some 33's or somethin! You'll love it! I'm a 3rd gen person myself and I'm on my 3rd 3rd gen haha, puttin this one on 35's. I can't get enough. Well, I look forward to seeing your 4th gen progress! Keep the mod's coming.

The single biggest thing i think that would transform that thing from grocery getter to badass would be some offroad tires, 33 or 35's plus a little bit of lift, then your offroad capabilities would be alot better to, liken what your doin with it so far and that grill is nice as well, go 4 it:girl:
