The struggle is real...

It's been well documented on this forum; and it happened to me:

I feel odd that I know exactly what you are talking about.

Which is why there is a factory cargo net sitting in the back of my 4runner for when beverages are in the back :)

Or you could just do a brake check coming to a stop in your driveway to ensure all items are arranged toward the front of the vehicle

Maybe Toyota has Admiral Ackbar working for them "its a trap"

Yeah, welcome to the club. Stifler reported losing a bottle of (cheap) bourbon that way.

I had a jar of peanut butter (the 'natural' oily/stir first kind) splatter on my garage floor. Now I roll the window down and look first. Can't do that in a GX460.

You're lucky yours didn't break.

My Husky liner helps a little bit with this because of the lip on the back, though not against really heavy items since its still a bit flimsy.

Maybe it's because I run these ^^^ in both 4Runners but I've never had anything fall out on level ground like that. If I'm parked on an incline, I either roll down the rear window or open the hatch slow. I also try to pack, position items so they won't do that. How fast are you guys taking off from stoplights?

When we're going to the grocery store I put one or two Sterilite 30 gallon tote boxes in the T4R. They work great for keeping things organized. One for cold items and one for non refrigerated items.

I find that 12 packs of beer don't fall out the back so I lay those between the two tote boxes. :police:

I have gotten into the habit of rolling the window down first to check too if i feel things rolled around in the back

No matter how often the issue comes up, I continue to have a completely level cargo space. Put your groceries in the middle row foot well..

The cargo net from my old suburban actually fits though it's a little loose. I haven't lost a bottle yet but I did drop one of those big pizzas from Costco. [emoji23]

cargo net.

i actually have 2. secured the 2nd one to a black shower curtain rod and put that in the spot where the cargo cover thing is supposed to go. i don't know that it'll actually ever get used.
