I think something is wrong.....
Decided now was a good time to change the front diff oil. Thats what came out. Fished around inside the drain plug hole and pulled out a crap ton of what look to be spider gear chunks.

When I regeared to 4.88s the drain plugs on my front and read diffs looked like that after the 300-500 mile break in period. I didn't have any chunks though...

I am thinking about it. I'll probably just buy another used stock diff and keep this one to put a locker in.

Yeah same with the crawl box. Small filings are normal for a break in period.
I'm pretty sure this isn't normal though

Don't worry. It will be ready. I'm waiting to hear back from the guy that i bought the elocker axle from to see if he still has the front diff.

Well my fingers are crossed there. Would be cheaper than a regear.
On another note, I played with my coilovers for like three hours on Saturday and could not get my ride to level. From the position they came in to me the drivers side went up 3/4 in and the passenger was down an inch. Still leaned to the driver. Ordered a trim packer yesterday as I am fairly certain that it is the rear that is throwing it off.

Totally because of the diff drop. Shouldn't have ever put that thing on there.

That is the only explanation i can think of. I'm kinda surprised that my truck hasn't taken out a school bus full of nuns because of the diff drop.

After reading ALL of this all I can say is WOW!!!! Makes me want to set up my Limited up like this and make it a sleeper. Just wondering how it works out with a Auto vs a Stick? After seeing it crawl, I get how the breaks would not stop it. Might be a little issue at some point right? Anyhow the truck is kick ass.

Why did your shifter not come up through the cup holder? I believe I've seen a bracket that allows you to move it over if you're having issues.. Grant it, you've already hacked everything to shit lol. I may have missed it but did you go with 2.28's or 4.7's?
Have you finished your elocker wiring? You know I did a retrofit wiring write-up specifically for what you're doing. Rather simple.
Good job with everything man. I'd love to do a crawl box. Tight fit with an auto though.
