Yep quite happy with them. Have probably 10k miles on them and 2 hard Moab trips and I'd say they are 75% tread left. Ride is pretty good considering it's a mud tire. Only drawback IMO is they are heavy.

Sweet. I'm hoping to switch tires this summer, but I might buy a motorcycle instead haha who knows.

This could use updating i suppose. There have been a few changes to the Lobster with the past few months.

Turbo setup is still running strong. I did start reading up on E85 and the benefits of it on boosted motors so i said what the hell and ordered up some 550cc injectors to replace the 318cc Supra injectors i had. I still haven't dynoed it yet but i'm betting i picked up another 30-40hp.

Anyway, not a whole lot else has changed aside from adding more tube to the front end. Here is phase 1 of the tube work. I expect to continue adding tube until this thing becomes a jungle gym.

The new tube work looks sharp, Dylan. I'd love to take a ride in the lobster and see how that turbo feels... you should try and make it out to the Addicted Jambo in August.

BTW, I saw the video below in the TW moab pic thread, and wanted to say "atta boy". That was a great example of skill and control behind the wheel, and you executed perfectly to prevent your rig from rolling. I hope I'll have the reflexes to do the same if I ever find myself in a similar situation.

I had this same thought when I saw the video. I have nowhere near enough experience to have made it out of that. I would have freaked and went right over on the top.

Much appriciated. Being a manual definitely helped. Once i felt it start to feel funny i just stabbed the clutch and let it come back. Little bit of adrenaline though

This is the Rock Therapy Event that some members of Tacoma World put on every year. Its quite the event.

I barely notice it. Output is pretty awesome. Not Rigid or BD but for the price, its hard to beat. I am using the Pro series. I actually had the standard F1C on there until late may but apparently it grew wings and flew away to live on another truck somewhere . The Pro series definitely has better optics and a longer throw on the light pattern

Few more updates.

Apparently Moab rock, 35's, 4 million turbocharged horsepower, and my heavy foot was the final straw for this ring gear.

Not sure how i can wheel the crap out of it all week in Moab and drive it all the way back to Denver only to have it blow up pulling away from a stop light on a flat paved road :lmao:

Also my last trip up to Holy Cross left me with a pretty beat up gas tank. The tank got dented up and lost a few gallons of capacity and the gas gauge would stick at 3/4 tank. I had taken some 1/8 steel and welded it to the stock skid. It helped but was still pretty weak i guess.

I decided to swap in a new tank and add a Lil Skips tank skid.

Time to see what else i can break!
