I just literally changed mine yesterday.
Went with OEM- housing and t-stat together- also got the OEM gasket. About $50 CAD all-in
3X 10mm nuts and one hose clamp to remove.
Easy job, burped the system, and topped up with about 1/4 jug of coolant.
Good for another 300K km LOL

Factory Toyota one? It worked good enough for Toyota?
I am traveling and no Toyota dealership close.
Was there an issue with yours? Just wondering why you changed it or if its on the maintenance schedule.

Not a maintenance item , the last few months my original t-stat was periodically taking too long to open. Scanguage was reading open loop 15-20 minutes after startup which is longer than normal. This was causing slightly more fuel consumption. New t-stat seems to be working ok so far , but I haven't driven enough yet to track fuel economy.
