They giving me a new cd player!

so the cd changer on my 2011 TE stopped working in slot 4 and slot 1 it was 50/50 if it would play. Long story short they said it's a manufacturing defect and they are on back-order so it's gonna take maybe 10 days or 2 weeks to get the radio changed out. I have it less than a year with 18k miles on it, the tech made a point of telling me it's real clean under the body haha :hatsoff:

service guy told me lots of Toyota radios are coming back with issues

I have a 4 disc changer with my JBL Nav. I think I've used a cd in it once just to see if it works. I use bluetooth 99% of the time. lol

Anyone notices that the JBL nav is constantly accessing the map DvD? You can hear it if you let your car on accessory with radio sound down to zero. I wonder how that will affect the JBL unit life... Can't think it will last 10 years doing that.

Apparently the owners before me had this done at around 10k miles.. glad I don't have to deal with it when I'm at 41k now... i hope

confirmed, I hear something going on in the cd changer and it's got no cd's except for the navi cd. Not sure what to do about it imp:

I found it annoying, but it's not that bad if its a normal behavior of the NAV system. Really was concerned that my unit was defective.
