Thin metal on doors?

Got my first door ding and it looks ugly (to me). There's a fist sized dent in my passenger door. There goes $100 to fix it :mad2::mad2::mad2:

Stuff like this just pisses me off. Can't avoid it, no matter how careful you are. Sooner or later some jackass will get you....

I got one of those and took the panels off the door and pushed it out from the inside, popped out and look as good as new. Might be something to try and save $100

There is a reason a '13 TE cost only about $4000 more than my '99 cost new.

There is also a suction cup thing to pull out dents that you might try.

^^^ Totally agree. My 11 cost just about the same as my 97 cost me.

Then explain the 800lb difference in the 3rd and 5th Gens........that 800lbs went to safety improvements( 8 standard airbags),frame,engine ,transmission,transfer case and diff(new 8.2" rear diff) improvements. Pretty good deal for only $4k more in improvements on the things that really matter I'd say. A MUCH safer and STILL reliable truck.The doors have steel reinforcement beams inside them for safety that let them cut down on outer skin thickness and is not a big deal.
