think its time for metal bumper

Today. Going around jug handle entering the parkway, it was raining and stupid me I was on phone and not paying attention to my speed. Spun out coming out of the jug handle lost control and hit the guard rail. Thank god only scrapped the bottom plastic bumper. It was very very stupid to be on the phone. This is gods message to me !!! It's not that bad. But I think it's time for metal aftermarket bumper. I'm aiming towards the new savage bumper. It's 499$ plus shipping only 70 lbs.


Maybe someone on the forum is willing to sell their metal bumper, or their custom metal bumper for good price.

This is my DD, do you guys think it's ok to drive it with metal bumper everyday daily. How much does it affect mpg. I already have 1/8 skid plate.

It's no different than having another body in your passenger seat every day. In other words, little to no difference at all.

I am sure I will get ripped for saying this, but if you do not spend much time wheeling it hard, you could consider aluminum bumper in the event you decide you cannot look passed the weight gain.

You might want to check with Roy on that bumper. He has 2 options and a $100 price difference. One claims to be a winch mount bumper and the other does not.

I agree. This is what happened to a lady who thought it was more important to be on her phone than paying attention to red lights:

They took her off on a stretcher, but last I heard she was fine. She's lucky there was nobody in her passenger seat, and she's lucky I was just driving a 1/2ton pickup. Anything bigger and she might not have made it.

Yes I notice that on The website. The winch bumper has a place for the winch behind the bumper. I don't plan on getting the winch and the other one looks better without winch. I'll call see what they got. And the price is very good.

She got what she deserved for for putting dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of fellow citizens' lives at risk by driving like that[presumably] day after day. Sorry that you had to be the one who taught her the lesson.
If folks want to drive themselves off a cliff, fine...
