Thinking of getting rid of my Shrockwork Sliders. :(

Thinking about it. It would be just nice to know they are there just in case I get adventurous. And it doesn't add that much weight. I just want something close to the body like I had on my Rubicon. Don't really want to go the step route because I think ridiculous to use it when I'm 6'2". But I guess it is better than getting my dress slacks dirtied and stained from rubbing against the slider. Colorado uses a substance called Mag-Cloride when it snows. It dirties and stains my very expensive dress pants at the calf. Showing up to work that way is not acceptable, lol. I didn't think I would get so much flack for this! Lmao! I'm not feeling the Rocky Roads or the Sleekters. I will have to research some more. Something like the ARB sliders for the FJ is what I have in mind.

It's all good, not giving you s**t just curious is all. I currently have running boards as a compromise for the wifey but I have a set of schrockworks on order to replace them.

You can't get much more tucked up near the body than Rocky Roads Superslider, but they do make something called the rock rail, which is like the super slider with the outer round tube removed.
This might be what you want as it's out of the way and won't rub on your pants, but still provides some protection. And, unlike all the other posters in this thread, I can sympathize with you. I have an office job too and don't want to ruin my slacks (LOL) either. So I have to step way out when exiting.

Don't get the sleeksters then cause I have to jump in and out to keep my pants from hitting them. They are so high they don't work as a step either. Plus the mag chloride will eat at the holes you have to drill in the rockers and pinch weld to mount them.

These are N-Fab rock rails w/o the detachable step. They are not true sliders and are not frame mounted. They do fit very tight and my leg doesn't touch them at all. A very clean look but would only take so much. I have no plans to truly rock crawl so...

These look nice, if they don't mount on the frame, where do they mount? Do you have to drill?

I guess they are considered to be mounted on the body just like regular steps or running boards. You remove existing bolts and mount there. Very easy and no drilling. I think they look good for what they are and they aren't very expensive compared to real sliders.
