Didn't mean to offend anyone....

I have a family too. And this is an absolute tragic incident.
What I said, which I think I'm being misunderstood, is that the media and the politicians make a circus out of it for tv ratings and photo ops.

I'm not cynical. We've all seen this before....and that upsets me. Leave these folks alone to grieve.....not push any personal agenda....

I echo what Antman said. I also have two little girls and my wife is an elementary school teacher and I have thought a lot these past few days about what if that was my child or my wife in that school. I don't think words can describe what those families are dealing with. I pray that they may find comfort and peace. I also praise those heroes that day who made unselfish decisions that probably saved lives. To quote Fred Rogers "Anyone who does anything to help a child in his life is a hero to me."

This is what happens when we remove God from our schools. He cannot be there to protect them from evil.

The sad part is that the politicians talking about gun control will do absolutely nothing. The guy that did this stole all the guns from his mother. There is nothing that can stop that.

If someone in the office had a concealed handgun license and had a gun and knew how to use it, this could have been stopped in the office. Then again, if he knew that was not a gun free zone, it may not have happend in the first place.

I'd suggest one thing to consider is a publication ban on the names and pictures of these mass-shooting type murderers. The reason they do it is for the celebrity - to have the media tell the story of their pathetic life. They'll be known forever in the history books and that's what they want.

Talk to your government representatives.

There were several hundred kids in that school. Most survived. God was there in the form of those heroic teachers.

Please keep personal indifference out of this thread, it is inappropriate and insensitive.

These families have suffered unbearable loss. I pray the media will recognize this, and give these families time and space to grieve.

Media coverage here in CT has been overwhelming. This terrible event has impacted the entire country. I just can not comprehend how these parents must feel. God Bless them all and give them the strength to get through this tragedy.

Its hard to even imagine someone doing that. I cant even comprehend it and on top of that he is a fuc*ing coward for shooting himself rather than facing the families whose lives he has ruined.
