THREAD REMOVED - Need more hot chicks on t4r - PLEASE READ

Guys, it's with great regret that I decided to remove our beloved "Need more hot chicks on t4r" thread. I'm getting a lot of heat from our sponsors and advertisers, since a lot of their ads appear on pages with what's considered to be adult content, which violates their rules.

I'll try to figure out how to remove ads from such threads, but until then the thread will be hidden. Safe and sound, but hidden :).

Hmmm, yeah, pissing off the sponsers of the site isn't a good idea. Maybe if we have a page that only members can access (visitors will not be able to and will be invisible to them). Another forum I belong to does this, BUT you have to be a "VIP member" meaning you have to pay something minimal to be a VIP member. ................... just thinking out loud.........

Hmmm, well, aren't there FREE porn sites around? If I want to look at scantily clad (or even more provocative) girls, then wouldn't I just rather go to the FREE porn sites instead of paying to come here? Hell, I can even have BOTH T4R.org and PORN windows open at the same time without spending a single penny!! :D

Yeah, paying minimal fee for semi-porn or just to say bad words on a CAR forum is probably not gonna fly with many folks....

However, if paying extra $$ gives you much more picture capacity posting and forum logo stickers, then I am all for it! :)

100% agree. I was going to suggest that paying something (i dunno, min $10-30/year or whatever) gives you access to more stuff although I really don't know what that can be. More message capacity, a t4r page of your own truck if you did any mods, free logo stickers/t-shirts. The "soft porn" is just icing, but not really necessary. I think it would be cool if:

IF you make your "build" thread you can include what you did like electronic mods/suspension/engine mods, etc etc and have that information easy to search. For example, have a list or sub forum of all the build threads according to generations (1-5th gens) and somehow include what you did. For example, if you are looking for suspension mods, the search would only include builds that dealth with suspensions mods, if you are searching for how to fix that pesky drivelines thunk, then only builds that include that would be listed. This would be leagues better than what there is now. If you want to search the forum, google is better at it. Right now, builds threads are very cool, but the information is very "scattershot" and not organized. Ummm, another idea maybe having electronic schematics posted for those "VIP" members and copies of valuable Toyota Shop Manual procedures (for example, how to remove the transfer case). I could go on........

What other ideas do others have?

This is looking like it belongs in the "how to improve this site thread".,........

although having "hot chicks on t4r" back would be cool......... hahah

Cursing is already allowed, especially in off-topic. There used to be **** censorship and it was removed.

Most of us don't curse simply because we choose not to.
 
I think the best part of this forum is that it is free and considering how reliable and extensive it is, that's awesome. I probably wouldn't pay though. I am willing to sacrifice one thread.
 
If you want to get your swerve on, check out tumblr... plenty of freebies there and there's not much that gets filtered out.

As for the thread, sorry to see it go, but I understand.
