So I'm thinking my cat is clogged (among a host of other problems) and want to get it off to take a look at it.
I wrung off the bolt heads on the engine side of the cat to exhaust pipe flange after getting the nuts off, so the muffler came away with the shanks of the bolts still in place.
Is the muffler pipe flange threaded? I gave them a few whacks with a hammer and they didn't budge.
If I find they are threaded, I'll go at them with a pair of vise grips, other wise I'll try to push them out.
Also, is the front flange of the cat the same way? Looks like I am going to have to cut the bolt heads off to get the cat off anyway.
Thanks...
