Throttle Body Sensor replace

Does anyone have a write up with photos on how to replace a Throttle Body Sensor on a 98 v6 4wd runner? My check engine light keeps coming and going so i had auto zone pull the codes and it came up as P0120 which he said was the throttle body sensor or the ECM. They said it was 98% prob the TBS.

They have the part in stock for 54$ and i was wondering if this was something i could install myself. My truck is running fine but i hate having a check engine light come on so im probably going to have it replaced. Any tips or guides what be greatly appreciated. Thanks

* Sorry. Its the Throttle /Pedal position sensor/switch "A" Circuit. TPS

This is the throttle position sensor. If you can operate a screwdriver then you can replace this.

i also had this code and check engine light come on, but I cleared it and it never came back. So I'm not worrying about it for now ....

Thanks. My check engine light has came on twice in the last 3 weeks. It`s off right now. I got a fresh tank of gas and it went away. Not sure if it had anything to do with it tho. If it comes back on i`ll get the part and stick it on. I just unscrew the thing. Unplug it and hook the new one up right. Also. How do you reset your check engine light? Thanks for the photo.

Yeah, I haven't replaced one yet, but the manual gives no special instructions, just if it's bad then replace it, so I'm betting its as simple as you expect.

You can reset the cel by disconnecting the battery negative cable for 60 seconds.

u can either unhook the battery and leave it for a while , or go to autozone and borrow their tool for free to clear it. I bought a obd2 to usb cable from ebay so i can just hook it up to a laptop to clear it.
