Throttle Body Spacer Anyone?

well i just got my spacer today.... i wont be able to have time to install it this weekend, so i ll do it this upcoming weekend... it will give me time to actually try to figure out to take off the throttle body.

i got a question......on the instructions, it says that i have to tighten the assembly to 15 ft/lbs. i know this might sound dumb, but how do you know what 15 ft/lbs is?

ok....well i gotta say wow i looked at my engine for a good while, and i have to say, i have no clue on what to do. this is not that hard i presume, but i never really done anything to my engine, so i am really nervouse. i felt that the hoses on my cai are in very tight where i feel if i try to yank them out, theyll tear. i dunno if i actually want to do this. i just dont want to mess up my vehicle.

don't let it intimidate you....it's easy....4 bolts...15 ft/lbs, if you dont have a torque wrench is about a good nudge after the bolt stops...just don't crank on it, you know?

well i can see how i would be able to take of the tb with the four bolts, but that thing, (sorry i cant think now, its about 1am here) where the wire is connected and when you twist it, it revs the engine, well.... how would i loosen it because it is pretty tight right now, and since the tbs will stretch it out about an inch, that would be tooooo tight.:bash: :bash:

Yes,I do get frustrated at adults blindly buying stuff for no reason even when they have the knowledge that something can't work as advertised.

This is why those products exist since people buy that stuff based on faith and not fact. I wish I could invent some worthless cheap part for a car that people will still continue to support and pay $80 for it when it probably cost the company $10 to produce.

P.T. Barnum is credited with saying "a sucker is born every minute" but he discredited that but it is a phrase that does stand true.

I know how you feel, I overheard a guy talking about a capacitor for his audio system the other day at the store and I had to bite my tongue. They are virtually worthless. Ohms law proves it and if any one did any research on stuff before buying it they would save $100's of dollars

Yeah you can't go wrong on $30 for anything really......free is good too

i have a quick question before i start this weekend on installing my tbs. how do i extend the throttle cable because when i install the tbs, the cable is going to be pulled back a little more than a inch?

and i was trying to take out the hoses for example the hoses connected to the cold air intake, but they are way to hard to take off, how can i make it easier to take them off without tearing them?

you shouldnt have to extend the throttle cable, the tube should have enough slack to extend just an inch

are you sure, because i know if i move it an inch, the throttle will proabably open automatically with out me pressing the pedal because of the tension.

I'm pretty sure the cable bracket will move with the TB which will move the tube, not the actual cable

Heck, send me $30 and I'll send you a Warp-Speed Whistle you can zip-tie to your trailer hitch... It's my newest project, and it'll far surpass any gains you'll get with the TBS... And an even cooler whistilng sound... I could use the money...

I could find so many more things to spend $30 on...
