Tie rod help needed asap!

broke the bolt on the outer tie rod part. thought it would be an easy fix, thought wrong...

does the bolt move up or down? does it twist or slide? the bolts threads are pretty mangled already so when I tried twisting it up with pliers, as well as down, neither worked. I tried putting an allen wrench in the hole that the pin goes in to hold the nut on the bolt and turning that, the wench bent in half. I tried man-handling it and pounding the bolt down, and then up. again, neither worked. I don't have many tools, and nothing to just cut it out with.

how can I possibly get the bolt out??? any help would be great, thanks, (pictures posted below if they upload correctly)

get some penetration oil, PB blaster... let it soak. then hit it with a big hammer and drive it out, it need impact, not twisting or the like, it needs force, you could rent a ball joint puller from an auto parts store too, that would pop it out.

yep, just pop it with a hammer. a few sharp smacks should do it.
hit the threaded end that's sticking out.

since the arm is off the vehicle, you can also smack the SIDE of the arm, directly in line with the stuck bolt. this will help release the tension, and allow it to pop out.

if the bfh don't work try a c-clamp? but I'd start hitting it with som pb blaster first

What I've done with a stubborn pressure mount is to put it under pressure (c-clamp, some sort of removing tool, vice grips, whatever you got!), and then hit it with a hammer! Sometimes a little heat works well too, put a torch on the seat portion and let it heat up a bit, then hit it.....

Got it. Just needed to beat the threads flat until it slid out. Now I just need to get it all aligned and I'm good to go. Thanks guys.
