Easy call on this one.

The stealership doesn't stock those parts because most customers don't want to pay for them. Excess, non moving parts is costly for them to hold for the future.

Plus, the stealership doesn't want you to keep your present 4runner on the road too much longer; they would rather you keep enjoying the 4runner experience by buying a 2014 model to help their bottom line.

You're right. Or they want me to have to come back in when the idlers fail so they can charge me the 4+ hours labor again. Pitiful.

They did offer me a free loaner car for the day. If I go that route I'll be asking for a new trail edition with a 6spd manual transmission...they might just be able to talk me into getting one !
