Hi All,
I did my timing belt/water pump/etc this weekend. I used a kit from AirCabinMan from ebay. Everything went really well, but when I went to start my engine it ran super, SUPER ugly then immediately died. So I opened it up and re-did the timing belt a couple of times. Then I noticed that I was missing a tooth for the crank shaft position sensor. After googling about I found this link:
https://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-...-immediate-stall-after-timing-belt-job-5.html
1blink had the same issue as I did, a broken tooth (and surprisingly I broke the same tooth as he did)
Anywho, somewhere during the process of installing/removing the timing belt (multiple times) the mark on the belt for the crank shaft came off... I'm wondering if anyone has the kit handy that they could count how many teeth there are between the left/driver side cam tooth and the tooth with the crank mark. Or maybe just post a good, high res picture so I can count for myself?
Thanks, you guys rock!
