It seems the bearing might be going on the top pulley that is connected to the water jacket. Placing finger on the water jacket, it is akin to being shocked... very strong harmonics coming from the part. No discernable noise says the hearing impaired (me).
Timing belt and tensioner were replaced 8 years ago at 92k, now has 108k (they did not replace water pump or pulleys). So back at it I reckon.
I've yet to run into this... anyone else experience this? The plan is to tear it down in a couple of weeks and replace everything. It is good to know what ya got and when ya got it. Kind of excited... thought my wrenching days were over.
