tire carrier + Hi-Lift

I built this thing myself from scratch, it's street legal with license plate relocating bracket and lighting. included in the package:
1.) removable fold-down carrier,
2.) Hi-Lift jack
3.) round tubing slider adapter
4.) license plate light, 4-prong trailer plug

price: $150

Shipping: probably not, I have no way to pack it securely.

note:some pictures shown are old before I painted it.


it fits:
tested in person on:2nd, 3rd, 4th gen 4Runners(may needs a different trailer lighting plug for 4th gen.)

haven't tested but may work, anything with a 2" hitch receiver. it clears the 2nd gen 4Runner tailgate, so I'm pretty sure it will clear most of the others, just I've never got a chance to test in person.

the slider adapter will fit 1.75" OD round tubing for sure, the top is made of a half pipe 1/4" wall DOM tubing. quadruple welded with 3/8" steel round stock.

you can access the trunk with the carrier fold down and you don't have to hold it, it will hold itself.

Hi-lift is an older model, with fresh rebuilt kit, new pins, new springs. it's a genuine Hi-Lift, not Harbor Freight.

Hella license plate light and trailer plug

the good thing about this is, you don't have to carry the extra weight when you are not out wheeling. it's totally 1-person operation, you can put it on and off in seconds, even with the tire mounted on.

the reason I'm selling is because they have been sitting in my garage for a year without being touched. wheeling isn't gonna be a thing for me right now. I moved from socal to the middle of midwest last year, I like desert and sand dunes, not mud.

I have ARB front and custom rear bumpers, all lined up, a body lift isn't gonna look good, just too much gap.

yep, but, I dropped $2000 on a complete tranny rebuilt, new marlin clutch kit, with new gears and syncro's. I need a reliable ride more than having fun. specially, now I'm going back to school fulltime, living on savings with no income.

ha.ha... you are certainly not the first one to ask for that darn thing. I don't think it's gonna fit on yours. that's why Bruce and Steve(Sonoran Steel) they don't make mail orders for rear bumpers. the reason is the distance between the frame rails are different from vehicle to vehicle. each bumper has to be custom fitted, it took me and Bruce 6 hours to get it right. the only way you can get one is to drive your truck down to Los Angeles, by the way, there's a 6 months waiting list.

I think I am actually going to go the tube route for the back bumper, it would match my front and sides.

I'm a little concerned about if the newer Hi-lift would fit on the holder. newer ones have beefier bottom plate, and the pattern of the holes maybe little different. I'm gonna to barrow a new jack to test fit it in the next few days.

I'll sell the carrier alone for $115+sh. it weights roughly 20lbs.

FYI, I finially got a hold of a new style Hi-lift jack yesterday. it won't fit on the carrier and the slider adapter won't fit on the jack, either.
