Tire Cleaner?

What do you guys use to clean your tires? Wesleys Bleech White works well, but isn't safe for rims. Anything out there that's effective and safe?

I use good 'ol carwash soap and a nylon brush then just use Meguire's Endurance gel and the tires look new and even fades the mud stains.

Eagle One A2Z Tire and Wheel Cleaner. Strong stuff, but safe. I think it's called "All Wheel & Tire Cleaner" now.

if you say bleach is not good for rims, what makes you think it's good for a non-solid surface?

soap and water with a good brush is should be more than enough.

It says to spray on and hose off, but I still use a scrub brush to get the tires really clean. The rims I use a microfiber towel with just soap.

Well let's see---b/c it's great for cleaning tires and can strip the finish off rims. Not sure where you were going with that one, but ok...:biggrin2:

Simple Green works just fine for me. I also use Meguiar's Endurance tire gel, lasts for a month or so and even after washing it helps maintain the tires looking black rather than brown.

If you keep "MUD" on them all the time you never have to cleen them.

F4ck all that, just use Armor all Tire Foam, best shit ever, spray on liberally and let the foam dissolve and viola! Instant shine!

Same goes for, armor all "Protectant wipes" For the insides of cars. What we used at the dealership cleaning cars.

Whitewall cleaner is fine if you get it on your rims, just wash off immediately with clean water. If your rims are aluminum don't lets it sit on them for more than a minute!

If you have white letters, get a bucket, put 50/50 mix of water and white wall cleaner, find a smooth rock, and scrub your letters hard a few times, and They'll look brand new! Used to work at les schwab.....

I use car shampoo and a stiff brush or P21 APC to scrub away all the dirt.
