Tire Monitor on new wheels

If I switch to aftermarket wheels, can I take the Tire Pressure Monitor out of the Stock wheels and put it the new wheels with no issues? Does the wheel size matter, or do I need to have the tpms adjusted?
Can I run after market wheels without the TPMS, and if so will the tpms light stay on?

I did with no problems. You should be ok.

no problem with moving your TPMS over to the new wheels. they will probably charge you a few bucks per wheel for a rebuild kit, which is basically a couple new o-rings.

I went without the sensors and just ignore the light. This funny looking green "ECO" light keeps going on and off next to it anyway so it's not a big distraction to me. I've spent a lifetime eyeballing my tires as I walk up to a vehicle anyway.

Ha sorry man on my phone thought you had an 05 runner. I did this mod on my 06 but not my wife's 13 yet-as she ont let me touch it...daNG. but here is the link to the module and diagram that would need to be grounded....as I said i have not tired this on my 5th gen yet...sorry about that
