Tire Pressure Light

Hi everyone,

I'm running the recommended 32psi on all of the tires (and the spare) and I cannot get the Tire Pressure light to shut off.

I've even gone as far as unplugging the battery for a few hours.

Whats going on? Are the sensors bad? It is an extremely low mileage 04 SR5 with original pair o' slicks. Anyway...could the sensors go bad or do I have to reset the tire pressure light somehow? I tried searching but to no avail.

Well i know on my ford escape (08) if the pressure is low and the light comes on and i then putair in the tires to the correct psi, it takes about 15-30 mins of driving or so for the sensor to finally switch off, but im guessing you have already done that? Could be a faulty sensor.

If the light is solid then it should be a PSI issue.
If it is flashing, there is a system problem, such as a faulty sensor or dead battery.

A lot of us have disabled the system. As good of an idea as TPMS is, Toyota executed it poorly.

thanks. yes...its solid...but all my tires are inflated to the proper psi...including the spare. i'll have to do a search on how to disable the system.
