Tire Presure Monitoring System / 2 4runners exchange

Hello all, I have searched through threads and did not find answer to what I am going to ask here, thank you for your help.

My wife has 2007 4Runner Limited, I have 2009 SR5. I love here wheels, so I want to make swap between two 4Runners.

If I do direct swap, my 5 for hers 5 wheels, how do I "teach" my computer to be aware of new wheels. No sensor removal and switching, just simple lift car take wheels and repeat?

You'd have to have a dealer reprogram the TPMS computer in each 4Runner. Unfortunately, Toyota doesn't have a learning mode on the TPMS computer to let you tell the computer to learn new ID's.

Also, both the SR5 and the Limited need to have 17" wheels. but you already knew that. 16" SR5 wheels won't clear the brakes on the Sport or Limited.

Thank you, Limited has 18" and my SR5 has 17", so I should be good on tire sizes.
