Tire Size

I have a 97 T4R with stock suspension. I have the stock 16" rims on it. I am currently running a 265/75/16. Should I replace with the same size or here are the other sizes I was considering:

265/75/16
275/70/16
285/70/16
285/75/16 (rubbing issues?)

Bottom line is when you go to these tire calculator sites they say stay within the 3% diameter difference or may have brake failure.
With what I'm running now I'm at 3.29%. Reading post on this, how crazy can you go size wise on a stock rim?
Thanks guys.

P.S. Oh ya, pick a size.

I had the original 17" rims & tires on my 04 sport and upgraded to much bigger tires when the Dunflops finally went out (check sig) I belive tire calculator site quoted a 6.55% difference - I like 1010tires.com great calculator site.

I still have my stock rotors and pads at 54K and haven't noticed much if any of a difference in braking. I am sure many will say this is too much and I am thinking about upgrading just to stay within compliance but again no noticeable difference.

Good luck and be sure to post some pics when you finally get some! :)

i have 285/70/17's and with a 2.5" spacer kit they rubbed like crazy so DEFF not gonna fit on stock suspension

additional 2" body lift gave me the clearence i needed :bigok:

if you do not lift it, stick with what you have! it's the best fitting size with your suspension.

I'm getting some TerraGrapplers when I need em!
