Tires for my 1999 SR5 2wd

Hey y'all, I have a 1999 sr5 which has long trail tires on it (265/70/15) but I am looking at getting some bf goodrich a/t that are 31x1050x15s, would this size tire fit without rubbing and would it possibly look better with a level or small lift? Thanks for your help

The 31's are the biggest tire 3rd gen's can run stock, and will fit without a lift and do not rub. I'm running a set on my 02 sr5 2wd and they are great. They ride smooth, not noisy on the highway, and they look awesome even without a lift! Even with a small lift 1-2" I think you would still be fine, because they are decently sized tires. Only downside I can say is that they seem to be pretty heavy, so the load for getting going is heavier so gas mileage will suffer a bit, but other than that they are great tires. Discount tire had a great deal going on when I got them and I was able to snag a set for $125 a tire, not sure if that is going on still or not.

Actually 32s are the largest you can run without a lift without any rubbing. There are a couple people who even got up to 33s, but had minor rubbing and had to a little fitment work.

OP, you could run a 32 easily with your truck, especially with the lack of fender flares and mud flaps. I ran 32s on my SR5 and have them currently on my wife's limited and have no rubbing issues. Take a look at the many many many many threads on this subject that have been posted and discussed.

I ran 31x10.50r15 on mine with a 2" lift for a while. I have since stepped up to 32s. Save your self time and money and go with the 32s. It will look better even if you lift in the future.

How did the 2 inch lift look? And they have the BFG a/t in the 32s? I haven't found any yet. I'm debating on lifting it 1-2 inches but I'm not sure how it will look

3" lift and 32s


As for BFG ATs, I think they have a 32x11.50r15 but I do not think they have a 32x10.50r15. Hope this helps.
