I just bought an additional 4runner (we already have an '05 V8 2wd) -- a certified '08 SR5 V8 4wd. I like it, but I want to add a few things to it my last car (Yukon) had--like Satellite radio, and a rear view camera for backing up to my boat trailer.
So I went to my Local dealer (Rick Hendrick) and asked them about the rear view camera and the satellite radio kit. Parts guy would tell me how much the satellite receiver cost from him ($299) and how much they charge to install it ($120)..but wouldn't tell me the part number. Same with the rear view camera (but @$1,100, I didn't really care)
I asked why, and he said "because of the internet. Thats our biggest competitor. If I told you the part number, you'd go out and find it cheaper and expect me to match it."
Yes. Exactly. That. Maybe they should learn to be competitive? Oh..by the way, since you just told me you are fscking me on prices...how much stuff you think I'll be buying from you now?
