Took it apart and lost something

About 8 months ago I took my 2003 4Runner’s glove box and blower assembly apart to see if I can fix a noisy air mix servo motor, Part # 8710635180.
I left everything apart to make it easier fix again if the problem reoccurred, which it did.
I unstuck the motor and it worked for a week or so then starting making noise again.
With the glove box out I could re fix the problem just by giving the arm a little push.

I ordered a new motor assembly and then got sick.

Fast Forward to today, 8 months later, I finally had the energy to put the new motor in and start putting everything back together.

I’m missing something, I just don’t remember what it is.
I think it is some kind of sensor, maybe round. I just don’t know.


I looked at all the parts breakdowns from the online parts catalogs and could not find what I’m missing.
One breakdown showed a Thermistor, Part # 8862535050. I don’t think that it. The part I removed I think was like a small tube.
And I think the thermistor is on the driver side.
The thing I’m missing was mounted behind the glove box near Jbox on the right.

I’ve enclosed a photo of the connector and hardness cable.

If anyone can help out on this I sure would appreciate it,

If someone could drop their glove box down as if to change the cabin air filter and take a look at what this hardness connected to, it would be greatly appreciated.

Is your vehicle a 4WD? That looks like that may be the plug for the 4WD Module which is mounted to the plastic kick panel that covers the HVAC blower motor. It was the only plug that seemed to match up under my '04 when I took a quick peek.

No, BlackWorks. My 4Runner is an 03 SR5 2WD. 165,500 Miles.
Everything seems to work with the exception of the HVAC display says that the outside air is on, when I know the air recirculate switch lamp is lite and the door is closed on the blower.
