Took the top off mow window doesn't work

I'm not happy, I took off the top for the first time today and now th back window won't close. Oh btw my 88 is a rear seat delete if anyone is interested. Anyone have this problem?

Is the top still off? You have to have a certain bolt that holds the top on in or the window will not work. If you are standing at the back looking through the back window it will be the second bolt on the drivers side from the back. I think that's correct anyway.

did you put the right bolt back in the right spot? There is one bolt that is just a bit longer than the others..

There is an interlock switch that prevents rear window operation with the top off.
As the others have alluded to, one of the bolts that holds the top on works the switch.
If this bolt is missing when the top is on, the window will not operate.
And of course, the window will not operate at all when the top is off.

weird but mine operates when the top was of. it shouldn't but it does .

lol other then the "A" bolt that grounds the switch i would take a good look at the wiper motor if its not fully locked into the rest position it will also stop the window from going up and down. and the wiper switch in the center counsel will also stop it from going up and down/
