TOTAL CHAOS Upper Control Arms

Just had mine delivered last week, can't wait to get them on with the rest of my suspension next week.

In the mean time, anybody had issues with the ball joint clunking? Any lube I should have on hand in case this happens to me?

Tri-flow lubricant. Just spray the ball joints when you are servicing the bushings every 5k miles or after a heavy offroad session. They will squeak if they need them.

I've been using exposed uniballs here in eastern Canada, and I keep them clean, and I use triflo to lubricate them in the winter after a [frequent] carwash.

The best thing you can do do for uniballs is to ignore it when people tell you to spray them with WD 40. WD 40 will destroy the teflon lining in short order. Then they are ruined.

I use triflo superior lubricant after washing, and triflo dry lubricant in the winter or if I'm going to a very dusty destination.

I had TC UCAs on my nissan titan, and I had excellent longevity on my uniballs there too.

I'm getting a clunk sound at low speeds when hitting bumps. I've greased with superlube with loosening the bolts and also cleaned the uniball top and bottom and used dry lube and bushings look perfect and all bolts are torqued to spec. Do you have any suggestions? This has been going on since day one of having them installed and that has been the only change made to the 4R.

Sorry about the noise, it doesn't sound normal

Can you email [email protected] with pictures and more details?

So I think I may have found the issue. It looks like the shop that assembled my front suspension for me, left off the top bushing and washer and that could be my source for clunking. They are redoing the work today so I'll have to report back. I've grabbed the UCA and shaken the truck pretty hard and got zero noise or play in them.

Yep as it turns out, they had a new guy and he assembled my struts incorrectly. Just reinstalled them and went for a drive, quiet as stock!

TC UCA's, Spindle Gussets, Rear Links & Panhard. Love the quality of the products and highly recommend to everyone.

TC @fkrodends 1" Uniball Guts - What makes the TOTAL CHAOS uniball conversion custom to our suspension?⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
- Uniball cup angle is moved to correct the caster that is lost with aftermarket lift kits on many model vehicles. The added caster reduces the darting or wandering in the vehicles steering and helps retain the factory alignment specifications. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣
- Uniballs feature a heat-treated stainless-steel ball & heat-treated stainless-steel race for maximum corrosion resistance and component longevity. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

- Uniballs also feature a military grade PTFE woven fabric liner that helps prevent noise and reduce maintenance.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

- TC tapered spindle adapters will convert the factory ball joint to a 1" uniball for easy installation.⁣⁣⁣
