tow hitch

webby, any way i can see how this connects underneath by the spare tire?
from my understanding, it's much smaller than the aftermarket ones?

That would be really difficult to photograph up in there. As I said, I'm not ready to sell mine if and until I find a replacement, and I'm trying to track down the OEM hitch off a V8 runner.

Just look underneath your runner. Yes, it's quite small. It attaches to the cross member that runs across parallel to the bumper. You should see bolt holes on 3 or 4 sides of that crossmember that it bolts to. It's fine for utility trailers and what have you. But if you want to tow substantial and heavy trailers, like a travel trailer, then you would be wise to get the aftermarket frame hitch, that also attaches to the side frame rails.

When I'm ready to sell mine, I'll just post it on the Classifieds here on the forum, so don't wait around on me.

yeah sure no problem.... do you think this factory v6 hitch would be efficient enough for towing lets say a typical 1-2k lb bass boat?

My best guess would be very likely, since these come from the factory with a 5000 lb. tow rating, and it's a factory hitch, but caveat emptor, do your own due diligence, I'm not a Toyota engineer, I'm no towing expert, your mileage may vary, some assembly required, batteries not included, yada yada, LOL.

Maybe some other forum members will chime in here with some expert advice for you. Best of luck!
