Toyota Care - Repaired Driver Side Door Actuator

Glad I "invested" in the Platinum 125,000/ 8 Year Toyota Care . The driver's side door actuator stopped working a month ago so my remote keyfob would not work. Apparently, somewhat common problem for the little electrical motor actuator thingy to fail.

My 2015 TRD with 27.5 K Miles has been out of warranty for such things since July 2018. Dealership did a great job, and in under 90 minutes so I was able to wait.

Glad to get a little bit of ROI on my Platinum Toyota Care agreement. This has been the only incident in over 3 years requiring repair since I bought the vehicle.

LOL, well at least I got $10 plus my valuable time back. Nonetheless, I am very glad to have the Toyota CAre, one AC repair and it's paid. The main reason I got the plan though was for the 4WD components. A friend of mine had to replace 4WD system and it cost him over $4,000.

But for future reference, and perhaps to help another forum member which of the following is the type of motor required to fit the 2015 4Runner ? The vendor on Ebay requires you to select the exact type from the following choices:

Round Shaft - Long Length (20mm)
Round Shaft - Standard Length (10mm Cut to length from the long shaft)
Round Shaft - Brass Collar Added (10mm)
Flat Shaft - Standard Length (10mm)
Flat Shaft - Long Length (20mm)
Genuine Mabuchi 20mm Round Shaft

i went ahead and bought 4 because my passenger door failed not long after my drivers door and the back doors were starting to sound like the drivers door did before it failed
