Hey all ... that Castulluci guy made the taking apart the dash and everything simple as 1 2 3! My IPOD rocks now !!!! I love how this thing integrated everything ..

I ran the wire through the back of the radio and down past the centerconsole into the console itself! I had to drill a tiny whole that lead into my middle console. YOU CAN NOT SEE THE HOLE. It is the perfect placement!

I LOVE IT ! NO MORE CDS!!!!! I will post pictures tommorrow!

Which radio do you have? I have an 04 Sport with the 6disc changer. I'm assuming that generation of radio doesnt have RCA's on the back of it. Does this kit have everything you need to hook up your iPod to the stock head unit?
 
it is awesome! I have the single disc JBL factory radio.

This is the best IPOD hook up ever I am taking pictures today!!!! It makes my radio think that i have a 6 disc external changer hooked up to it....


this toy spectrum product also lets me use my steering wheel controls to change the songs on my NANO! I love it!
 
Who is this Castulluci guy and where these instructions ...

Also, it charges the iPod, correct?
 
Can you post a link to the dash removal instructions?

I just bought mine off of eBay a few moments ago. I read a few reviews that some people hear a hum or hiss with this unit. I hope I don't have any issues with mine.

aux input for the ladies ipod and/or whatever you need to hook up and the actual IPOD adapter cable! THE SONG TITLES SHOW UP and you can use the steering wheel controls to change tracks!

i installed mine as well yesterday.. took me 45 mins. to do the install.. only difference is i kept everything underneath the center console.. just had the ipod wire running out thru the side.. to each his own i guess..
 
cool...yea the install was easy as 1.2.3 with the link showing how to take the dash apart and console apart.

Let me tell you I am NO BOB VILA....but I managed to do this install all by myself and with a 10mm wrench and socket!

Just want to throw in a second to that DMB comment! I've been to over 15 shows and have tickets for at least 4 more this spring!

and yes, back to the topic: THis may be my next mod as well, but into the glove box.

NICE! I've been to 10 including the first annual mile high music festival which was unbelievable! If anyone has a chance to see that, GO!

I wont be able to go this year because I'll be in Michigan being a wakeboard instructor. I'm pretty pumped for it but have to miss out on the festival.
 
I want to see Dave this summer...hes one cool dude!

I was going to put it in the glove box but I prefer to have my ipod close to hands reach while driving....my console is messy but i tell you what it looks sexy in the console

I must say this was the best $127 bucks I spent. I was gettin so sick of burning cds.

I bought my spectrum thing on Ebay new! Crutchfield wants I think 200 bucks! ouch!
 

So, how do you put your ipod on. What button do you press to listen to it? I have a monster cable (FM transmitter) right now for it and i've used it for years I just get sick of having to switch stations because that one station got too scratchy.
 
plug it in and thats it ! you can toggle between your cd and the device(ipod) you have plugged in by hitting disc on the radio

Oh and let me tell you ....the speakers really jam out now... the quality of the sound is 10Xs better now ....you really can crank the tunes up ! totally cool!
 
I just like the fact that the stereo displays the songs/artists from the ipod! If you can controll the ipod with the stereo do you need to be able to reach it easily? or do some of the controls still need to happen at the ipod?

DMB is for sure a show that everyone should see at least once. THis year TIM R is touring with him again for sure so that will make each show that much better! 10 shows is very respectable! The guys I go with have all been to 40 plus shows so I get sH** most of the time for my "lowwwwllly" 15!

I'm itching to get another DMB tattoo as well! I have one and i want another that just says "breakfree".
