As far as not being available in such and such a state - the states try to regulate these things through laws to help protect the dealers and their massive profits on these warrantys.

If you purchase a warranty FROM ANY TOYOTA DEALER - another dealer must honor that Toyota warranty.

Don't worry about buying from Shaun - your state's law is unenforcable.

Who's going to come after you? The warranty Police?

The Toyota Financial Website says:

"Please note: Toyota Financial Services vehicle protection programs are not available in the following areas: AL, AR, FL, GA, HI, LA, MS, NC, OK, PR, SC, and TX."

But my dealer offered me an extended plan when I purchased? Was it another type of plan? Is your Platinum Protection plan available to me?

You're in a state that has Toyota vehicles distributed by South East Toyota. Most likely SET has a third party company underwriting the extended warranty. A different dealer I got my other Toyota from, offered the extended warranty at $1200, when I refused, he knocked it down to $800 or 900 plus he threw in some maintenance program. But he showed me the paperwork the underwriter was not Toyota Financial Services (TFS) and there were deductibles plus something to the tune of where I paid first and then file for reimbursement. Essentially, I was buying a rebate program for dealer service after the warranty period.

Try calling Shuan and see if you get the TFS backed extended warranty.

I'm in FL and just bought the 7yr/100,000k from Shaun for $943.40 w/Tax.

I currenty have basically the same warranty through warrantydirect.com that I bought after I bought my truck about a year and half ago..I paid almost $1400 hundred for the warranty direct warranty and I just called to cancel it and was told my prorated refund will be just enough to cover the purchase of the warranty through Shaun (that shows how good the price is). I figured for an even trade having the warranty directly though Toyota is going to be less of a hassle down the line plus it will give me a year and half more coverage.

Hi,
I am very interested. I tried calling you today, but I think you were out of the office or gone.
Is this extended warranty an extension to the bumper-to-bumper warranty?
I am a second owner of a toyota certified 2003 4Runner Sport Edition. This suv only has 24,600 or so miles on it. I was wondering if it is possible to get this extended warranty on this vehicle still?
I am assuming this is a toyota warranty, not some random auto extension warranty you receive in the mail, right? So, if there is a problem, say with a window switch or my x-reas suspension I can take it into the toyota dealer to get it fixed with no charge?

you probably won't be able to get it since it's past the 3yr mark. it's 3yrs or 36k miles for the warranty.

I am pretty sure you must still be under the factory warranty (3yr/36k) in order to purchase the platinum extended warranty Shaun is selling.

I called him twice last week and got no response. my wife just bought a 2007 Honda Odyssey at Hennessey Honda in Woodstock (Atlanta), GA. I happened to mention to the finance guy while closing the deal that I was looking for a warranty for my 2006 T4R. He informed me that that they sell the Lexus (Toyota) platinum warranty. The cost is $815. It is the same Toyota warranty. I will be buying it by the end of the week. I know it is a few $ more (not enough to worry) over Shaun's offer but he is local, returns calls, and I dont have to worry about the Toyota Southeast issues that were mentioned above. Do yourself a favor and check other dealers.

Do you know who you spoke to? I want to just ask anyone and get Shaun in trouble.

I emailed him and called but no response as of yet. It was the end of Aug. So he was probably busy.

We just bought a 07 4runner. And the lowest I could get the Finance guy to go was 1400$. The thing that I wsa wondering is when can I actually decided to buy this warranty? Can I wait till till the car gets close to the 3 yr/xmile warranty?

I may just get it now to avoid the hassle.

I left Shaun a VM and sent him an email well over 1 week ago and have still not heard back from him. My 06' has 34K on it so I'm running our of time to get the Platinum Warranty.

Any ideas?
