Wow! I had heard rumors of this but didn't want to believe it. I really hate to see this happen. I have an 07 Tundra with the 5.7 which is a beast. I know they can get the power out of the TT V6s but to me it's just not the same. And there's no way you will ever get that V8 sound from the exhaust of a V6. I guess it's just the way of the world.

Interesting. Hopefully they do like Ford with the low end boost on the Ec0-boost. People love them for towing.

Toyota lost a lot of ground in converting their fleet to BEVs because they invested all their R and D effort in hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Now they are compensating for this miscalculation by tweaking their ICE models, so expect more changes like this one in the future.
