Toyota seatbelts suck

The seatbelts in my '95 Taco never retracted, both driver's side and passenger side. Other than that, and a rediculous cupholder design, it was an awesome truck. So now I get a 2003 4Runner and I encouter the exact same problem. I would have thought that over the course of 8 years the company would have remedied the problem.

I'm not looking for resolution, I'm just venting. :director:

i have 2 4runners, a truck, and a highlander, none of these have issues with the seatbelts. they all retract perfectly.
unless of course the kids get the belt twisted.

Typical Toyota issue. I've seen multiple ways to fix it. I still haven't attempted any of the fixes in 12 years. lol. Now my door jamb has dings and my vin sticker has scratches.

290ish on the 85 runner, 260ish on the 85 truck, about 110 on my 06 4runner, and 140ish on the highlander. in miles.


altho, thinking about it, I think I do automatically "feed" the seat belt back up, until its all the way up. ive never had it pinched in the door.

Yeah, I don't let mine get pinched in the door because I always manually feed it back up like you.

It never happend on my Rav4, or any of my Toyota cars, just with the trucks.

Geez, that's nothing. Just wait until the cracks start to appear on your dash.
